How to improve website SEO #1: Meta Title and Meta Description
The meta title of your website is the first thing which any visitor sees on any Google search result.
It goes without saying that you need to have a meta title for your website. On top of that, you need to make sure that you have put in some relevant keywords which describe your website in the meta title as well.
Moreover, you need to make sure that the length of the meta title is not more than, say, 80 words. Search engines generally truncate the meta title to 70 characters, so you should design it accordingly.
If you see the image above, the portion “cyber villager – the home to…” is the meta title, and the portion saying “Welcome to the world of amazing…” is the meta description. This gives the website an introduction in front of its users. A potential viewer would see the content from the very outside, and should he/she find anything of their interest, they would jump right in.
Hence, you should focus a lot on making a relevant and a catchy meta title as well as the meta description.
Before going forward to the next article, make sure you have set your metas right.
